Alternatives to QuickFile
The selector keeps QuickFile for landlords and sole traders, including people with both kinds of income. Its cheapest plan is listed as £60 plus VAT a year, about £5 a month (Power User (includes MTD for Income Tax)). Of the 13 other products on this page, 10 differ from it on a free plan, five on bank feeds and nine on support for jointly owned property. QuickFile suits sole traders and landlords who want full bookkeeping for a modest yearly fee, landlords who would like tenants, rent demands and per-property reports kept alongside their accounts and people who also file VAT returns and would rather keep both in one package, and we checked its prices on 25 October 2026.
If it does not fit, these are the other products the selector keeps for the same people. They are in the order the selector itself uses: how well each one fits that kind of income first, then the price, then the name. Each one’s cheapest plan and the points where it differs from QuickFile come from our checks of the provider’s own pages, so where we say a product does not offer something, it means we did not find it there.
If you already use QuickFile for Making Tax Digital, the guide to changing your MTD software explains what GOV.UK says about when you can move and what happens to your records.
