Alternatives to Landlord Studio
The selector keeps Landlord Studio for landlords. Its cheapest plan is listed as free (MTD Go). Of the six other products on this page, three differ from it on a free plan and four on bank feeds. Landlord Studio has a free plan, but each MTD submission costs £5. Landlord Studio suits landlords with 1-3 properties wanting a free option and landlords who want tenant/tenancy tracking alongside bookkeeping, and we checked its prices on 25 October 2026.

HMRC’s software list, as it stood on 30 October 2026, says Landlord Studio intends to let you send your tax return but does not say it can yet. HMRC’s finder explains this as “The software provider has committed to building this in time for the 2026 to 2027 tax return.” Your first MTD tax return lists the products HMRC’s list says can send it.
