Am I in MTD?
Am I in MTD?
The threshold can catch more people than the headline number suggests because it adds property income and self-employment income together, then looks at the total before expenses. Put the two figures in below and you will get a clearer steer on where you stand.
Are you a UK tax resident?
Use 100% if the income is solely yours. If you own jointly, lower the percentage so the calculator only counts your share.
Leave this at 0 if you do not have any. MTD adds this figure to your property share above, rather than testing the two income types separately.
This is an estimate based on the figures you type in. It is not a filing tool and it is not tax advice. It does not know about income that may sit under the £1,000 trading or property allowance, or about your specific residency and ownership paperwork. If the answer is close either way, check HMRC’s own tool or ask an accountant before relying on it. Thresholds shown reflect Acrenvo’s understanding of the confirmed mandation schedule as of 17 August 2026.
