Alternatives to TaxNav
The selector keeps TaxNav for landlords and sole traders, including people with both kinds of income. Its cheapest plan is listed as £60 plus VAT a year, about £5 a month (Annual Plan). Of the 13 other products on this page, 10 differ from it on a free plan, eight on bank feeds and four on support for jointly owned property. TaxNav suits landlords and sole traders who want to keep using Excel, Google Sheets or Apple Numbers, people with a trade, rental property and property abroad who want one licence with no charge per property and clients whose accountant already follows their MTD progress through TaxNav, and we checked its prices on 25 October 2026.
If it does not fit, these are the other products the selector keeps for the same people. They are in the order the selector itself uses: how well each one fits that kind of income first, then the price, then the name. Each one’s cheapest plan and the points where it differs from TaxNav come from our checks of the provider’s own pages, so where we say a product does not offer something, it means we did not find it there.
If you already use TaxNav for Making Tax Digital, the guide to changing your MTD software explains what GOV.UK says about when you can move and what happens to your records.
