Alternatives to Powered Now
The selector keeps Powered Now for sole traders. Its cheapest plan is listed as £28 plus VAT a month (Business (quarterly updates only)). Of the six other products on this page, six differ from it on a free plan, four on bank feeds and two on support for jointly owned property. Powered Now suits sole traders in the trades who want quotes, invoices and MTD updates in the same app, trade businesses with a small team who need certificates and custom forms as well and VAT-registered tradespeople who want VAT returns from the Professional plan, and we checked its prices on 25 October 2026.
If it does not fit, these are the other products the selector keeps for the same people. HMRC’s software list, as it stood on 30 October 2026, says Powered Now intends to let you send your tax return but does not say it can yet. HMRC’s finder explains this as “The software provider has committed to building this in time for the 2026 to 2027 tax return.” Your first MTD tax return lists the products HMRC’s list says can send it.
