Alternatives to Crunch
The selector keeps Crunch for sole traders. Its cheapest plan is listed as £10 plus VAT a month (Crunch Plus). Of the six other products on this page, six differ from it on a free plan, two on bank feeds and two on support for jointly owned property. Crunch suits sole traders who want simple invoicing and expense software with MTD filing at a low monthly price, sole traders who would like an accountant to handle their Self Assessment alongside the software and people who are also VAT-registered and want MTD VAT returns on the same plan, and we checked its prices on 25 October 2026.
If it does not fit, these are the other products the selector keeps for the same people. They are in the order the selector itself uses: how well each one fits that kind of income first, then the price, then the name. Each one’s cheapest plan and the points where it differs from Crunch come from our checks of the provider’s own pages, so where we say a product does not offer something, it means we did not find it there.
If you already use Crunch for Making Tax Digital, the guide to changing your MTD software explains what GOV.UK says about when you can move and what happens to your records.
