Recognised by HMRC for Making Tax Digital

Debbie

A phone-friendly tax and invoicing app for sole traders and landlords that builds your records from an uploaded bank statement, then sends MTD quarterly updates and the year-end return once you have checked the figures. Plans are priced by the number of businesses, and a property counts as one of them.

Web

In HMRC’s software finder since 9 October 2026. About this date

HMRC’s software list says Debbie covers sole trader and UK property income and can send your tax return. What HMRC’s list says

Who Debbie suits

Sole traders who would rather upload a bank statement each quarter than connect a live bank feed, tradespeople who want quotes, invoices and their MTD filing in the same app, and people with a trade and a single rental property who want both on one account.

Plans and prices

Debbie published plan prices
PlanPriceNotes
Solo£10/mo
  • One business
  • Or £90 a year
  • The page says the price has no VAT to add, so no VAT is added
  • The pages say a property counts as one business slot, so Solo is matched here to one property or one trade, not both
  • First month free, with a limited-time second month free when a card is added
Duo£17/mo
  • Two businesses
  • Or £153 a year
  • No VAT is added
  • A property counts as one business slot, so Duo is matched here to no more than two properties, and a trade alongside them uses one of those slots
Triple£25/mo
  • Three businesses
  • Or £225 a year
  • No VAT is added
  • A property counts as one business slot, so Triple is matched here to no more than three properties, and a trade alongside them uses one of those slots

Good to know

Debbie's FAQ says it sends MTD quarterly updates, the end of year figures and the final declaration to HMRC once you confirm them, and HMRC's software list shows self-employment income, UK property income, quarterly updates and the tax return as available. Records come from a bank statement you export and upload; the FAQ says a live bank feed is planned but not available yet, so we do not show a bank feed. The landlord pages describe property records, Section 24 relief and your share of a jointly owned property. The pages say a property counts as one business slot without saying whether that means each property or a whole letting business, so each plan is matched only to as many properties as it has slots, and Debbie may suit larger portfolios than shown here. Debbie runs in the phone's browser and is added to the home screen rather than downloaded from an app store, so we do not show iOS or Android apps. The FAQ says sending VAT returns to HMRC is not built yet. A login for an accountant and furnished holiday let handling were not found on the pages we read, so we do not show them; the Tax Return Pack is a download for whoever files for you. We show the full monthly price; the first month is free, and the page advertises a second free month for a limited time.

Hear about price changes once a month

We’ll email you a link to confirm first. Once you confirm, Acrenvo will send one email a month summarising the MTD software price changes we have checked and any changes to HMRC’s list of software for MTD for Income Tax, with links to the pages on Acrenvo where each change is recorded. Each email may also pick out one dated finding from that month’s record and list the coming MTD for Income Tax deadlines. If nothing changed in a month, we send nothing. In future it may also carry one advert and news of paid guides or templates from Acrenvo, each clearly labelled for what it is. Every email has a stop link, and stopping takes a single click.

This is separate from the deadline reminders, and signing up for one does not sign you up for the other. No account is needed. How we use your email address. Past emails and what each one holds
