HMRC-recognised for MTD ITSA

ApariSolo

A self-service tax app for individuals, built on the same platform as Apari's software for accountancy firms. It keeps MTD records from bank connections and uploaded documents, sends quarterly updates and gives a running tax estimate, for one annual price.

Web

Its current entry first appeared in HMRC's software list data on 7 August 2026. See the HMRC list timeline for what that date means.

The situations where ApariSolo is most likely to make sense

Sole traders who would rather upload documents and connect a bank than keep full books, people with more than one kind of income who want a running estimate of what they may owe, and people with one jointly owned rental property as well as self-employment.

What the published plan prices look like

ApariSolo published plan prices
PlanPriceNotes
ApariSolo (MTD quarterly updates only)£12/mo£144 a year including VAT, paid annually; includes Self Assessment tools, MTD record keeping and quarterly updates, document analysis, a tax estimate, reminders and support; the Self Assessment tools cover the current SA100 return, while the MTD year-end return is shown on HMRC's list as intended

A note before you decide

HMRC's software list data shows the year-end return as intended, not yet available (commit 8f43c40, checked on 27 September 2026). ApariSolo's home page describes preparing and submitting quarterly updates, and its help centre covers MTD quarterly submissions and the SA100 Self Assessment return, so the single plan is named as covering MTD quarterly updates only. The price card describes the plan as for UK sole traders, while the rest of the page and the help centre also cover landlords, property sources and jointly owned rental properties; HMRC's list shows both self-employment and UK property income as available. A help article on adding a jointly owned property is listed, so joint ownership is claimed. Support for several separate properties is not stated on the pages checked, so multi-property support is not claimed. The help centre lists an article on adding ApariSolo to mobile devices and HMRC's list shows iOS and Android, but no app store listing was found on the pages checked, so native mobile apps are not claimed. Mileage tracking, accountant access and furnished holiday let handling were not found on the pages checked.
